Nice story! Looks like you are making some good progress.
One thing that would be cool is instead of a toggle switch for your backup cam, hook a relay to the reverse light switch and the cam will switch on whenever you hit reverse!
It must be nice to have a wife who is in the mechanical field AND does such a good job at it!
