I have a repo exhaust manifold heat shroud, and I can't figure how to install it. Do you slide it from the front of the car along the exhaust manifold? One of the issues I believe may be is the bolt with the mounting stud is in he wrong hole in the engine and may be blocking the heat shroud from sliding along the exhaust manifold. However before I moved it, I wanted to check to see if that was the correct way to get the exhaust shroud in the right place.

What year is your car? A '68 is two piece and need to remove the manifold. '70 etc. slide on with the slot fitting onto the stud that you mentioned was in the wrong location. Pics help a lot.
