69 442 A/C Bracket question

I think I know the answer, but can someone with a 69 442 w/AC confirm that the compressor bracket is a 2-piece bracket? I finished a rebuild on my engine and got it running last week and am now putting the A/C back on. I have the large bracket that goes around the valve cover and attaches to the intake and the head. That was the only bracket that came with the car. When I bolt up the compressor to this bracket, there is a space of about 1& 3/4 in. between the front part of the bracket and the compressor mounting flange. There was a spacer in this position, but the chassis manual seems to show a bracket that bolts up to the front of the head with three bolts and would line up with the other bracket to fill this space. I don't think the spacer would provide enough support? I thought someone with a 69 442 might know for sure. If it is a two part bracket, I'll post on the parts needed forum.

Thanks for the help.

There is a bracket that goes ion the front on the compressor as you can see in thsi picture of the setup I bought from john(2blu442). You can see how it mounts. Second picture is mounted on car, but hard to see the bracket form this picture.

Hi,

There's also a long bracket that bolts to one of the water pump bolts (with a stud on the head of it) and has three holes at the other end, one of which, pretty sure the middle one, lines up with one of the bolts on the front of the compressor. I believe the chassis manual shows it, but the assembly manual does for sure.

Jon, thanks for the tip. I do have that bracket also. just missing the front compressor bracket. This was a very unmolested car that has been off the road since 1983. Not sure why only one was missing.

Here's some pictures of mine... while not a 442, close enough :P

(ignore the temporary fuel setup)

Kinda blurry, but I didn't want to go back out and reshoot it.
