If you went up in reverse you could coast back down in forward, think of the great gas mileage you would get.

LOL yeah, but backing up mountain roads sounds terrifying to me, to say nothing of in a big 'ol boat of a station wagon, which are a bitch to back up even under the best of circumstances!
