I think I would agree with the last Rallye469, I begin to realize that there are some "partnerships" made between business, government, and yes even consumer groups. In the case of this subject, keeping everyone in a new car every 3 years is a goal that satisfies all three groups. Automakers get their share, Government can appear to be protecting us, and the consumer groups appear to be "green"; also, the banking industry doesn't mind financing a new car for all of us every three years. Keep the masses happy. I would rather drive my old car.
