I asked the painter why he didn't paint the wing-to-bracket screws as the factory did.  He said it was so much work to get the old screws out and new ones in, that he wanted the new screws to SHOW UP.  I had to agree.☺

The wing brackets are steel.  The steel screws holding the wing were solidly rusted in place and they broke during removal.  The painter drilled out the remainders, pressed in brass dowels, and then drilled and tapped the dowels for new stainless screws.
