Thank-you

My restoration of a 1963 Starfire 394 V8 engine, the engine has less then 50 miles on it and terrible paint.. so we (Father and I) decided it deserved a new paint job!

Original air-filter housing from 1963, painted the bottom section a flat-black. And cleaned the chrome with steel-wool and neva-dull (from NAPA auto-parts). looks great!! DO NOT EVER use the steel-wool on paint.. haha.. I learned the hard way when I accidently hit the paint on top of the air-filter.. haha..

The intake manifold and power steering have already been painted, the exhaust manifold, alternator and brackets, fan and pulley on front, and many other parts that I already had done were switch onto this engine.. now I just need to clean up all the parts and put them on my other 394 going into my Coupe.

1963 Starfire Convertible 394 rebuild! Bought the car in March, I was told all the running gear was brand new with less then 10 miles on it.. and also that there was no rust.. Make sure to look at every square inch of a convertible when you go to buy it. The engine has less then 75 Miles on it, new carb, new paint, new valve covers, new exhaust manifolds, and pretty much everything is either replaced or cleaned up. Painted the original colors used on this engine. Only had to pull because the tranny (700R4 conversion went bad and had to pull it from the bottom then decided to just redo the whole front end while the Tranny was in the shop.

394 V8, sitting underneath a tree for 30 years, rusted all the way through. Heads, valve covers, exhaust manifolds, and intake are the only good parts.

Interior, the drivers window was out of the car, if the owner was smart enough to just open the door or roll the window down he could of saved us a door-panel, seat, carpet, floor-board, and window regulator/sash-channel.
