This will probably be one of my favorite photos I ever take of any car. That's my elementary school (Jefferson) in the background, in Bergenfield, NJ.

This was a great time, for $50 they let us have at it for about 10 laps. Unforgettable great time, the undisputed highlight of the 2016 Nats.

Hanging fairly low on turn 4 (or perhaps turn 2). As I got used to the track I found I could get all the way up top around the turns practically flooring it. Yes, the benefits of having a 105 hp Olds 260.

Getting ready to race! Waiting for my turn at Bristol Motor Speedway. The car crossing the finish line did NOT do those doughnuts.

Progress is being made here with swapping the wire wheels for correct SS III's as well as tires that aren't 14 years old. That's also my 79 H/O and 79 Calais in the background.

This shot reveals an un-repainted trunk. With the exception of the sport mirrors, the silver on this car has been repainted.

Note the wire-wheel hucaps. They are currently "in storage".

Took a 2nd Place in the Junior category. Might have landed a 1st if I had correct tires, that was worth 20 points. I'm happy with that 2nd place metal on the roof, though

To make up for the 20 points lost on the tires I removed my platinum tipped spark plugs & installed correct AC spark plugs and Wittek hose clamps. Come warmer weather they will be switched back.

Peeking out the bottom on either side of the bumper can been seen the business end of a brand new Gardner full dual exhaust system, W-31 style.

More spectacular than the AM/FM Stereo (1 speaker in front, 1 in back) and the 8 track is the view through the windshield of Mount Anthony and the Bennington monument

The Teal 1994 Cutlass Supreme- this was the last new Oldsmobile bought by me. Technically it's not a formerly owned car. I've got it on long term loan to my Dad who needed a good car. I get it back when he no longer wants it. That could be next week, or 10 years from now. Seems like only yesterday I took a train up to Woodbridge Old in NJ Oct 1 1994 to go get it. 01/01/2021- as of last April I own it again.

1972 Cutlass Supreme. Here's one car I really miss. This had the 442 FE-2 suspension package and it rode fantastic. The only reason I sold it was I got a great deal on a 1972 Cutlass S that was restored. So while this car was nice, the one I bought was nicer and I couldn't keep both.

1979 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. Sad to day I didn't give this car much of a chance. I put a rebuilt Jasper 6 cylinder motor in it to replace the bad V-6 that was in it, but I was appalled at the sheer lack of power that motor had. It was even more anemic than the 260 V-8. It had that nice pillow-like interior which cleaned up really well. Even though I jazzed it up a bit with a sport steering wheel and a set of N-88 wheels (Hurst style but silver instead of gold), I couldn't overcome the dog motor and didn't want to go thru the expense of converting it to an 8. Off it went.

1971 Cutlass Supreme. Great car, wish I had kept it. The top NEVER leaked.

1994 Cutlass Supreme SL Convertible. What a disappointment this car was. I got it with 40,000 miles (maybe) and the original top that leaked in 5 places. I spent $1,600 on the canvas top you see in the picture, and when I got it back it leaked in the one spot that wasn't previously leaking. The timing belt snapped on it, fortunately I was going only 5 mph or I could have had a really huge motor problem. So it had to go. I always wanted one of these until I got one. Good riddance. Never again. Until next time.

1991 Cutlass Calais International Series. Man, do I miss this car. It was fast, it was great on gas. But it leaked so it had to go. I never had a car that leaked so bad I could have stored goldfish on the rear seat floor after driving home in the rain.

But, if anyone knows where I can find a black one, I'd sure like another chance at one of these!

Here's a list of my "Owner Installed" options since I bought this car: tilt steering wheel, wastepaper basket, clock, AM/FM Cassette radio, CB, 4 spd O/D, pulse wipers, trunk popper. I had a power seat but I hate them so as soon as I found a manual track in good condition I booted the power set up.

Tach, speedometer, gauges, even the plastic see thru bezel were all NOS when installed. I'm not worried about the speedo not depicting the original miles, this car will never be sold and will be the last car I ever own

I installed this clock (car did not come with one but the plug was there) Oct 1, 1994. It was quartz converted and after 19 years it still works. One thing great about the conversion, they use ALOT less battery so they are not prone to run your battery down during extended storage

Tucked in the corner is one of my add on options, a wastepaper basket, very cool to have and extremely hard to find. I've become adept at bank shots while driving.

I believe this is a period correct license plate I bought NOS for the 2003 Nationals and never took it off. All told, Olds sold nearly half a million Cutlass' including over 43,000 of this Calais model. Those grills were NOS when the car was repainted. I taped the holes myself so the (plastic) chrome wouldn't be sprayed over. Took me several hours.

Showing off those 70's style whitewalls! All the stainless steel molding trim and wheel well trim was NOS when installed in 2002 when the car was painted by Manchester Motor Car in CT. At the time they said this was the newest car they took on as a job to paint.
