I started the restoration of my 442 in 2010. It is a complete rotisserie nut and bolt restoration. The the car was rear ended in 1980 and set under a lean-to covered in a tarp in South Dakota until I bought it which probably contributed to is relatively rust free condition. The floor had been undercoated by the original owner when she bought it and was just about it and was in fantastic shape. Some rust repair was required in the well opening area and the lower rear of the front fenders was completely rusted away. I am fortunate that my son is a certified GM mechanic and he rebuilt the engine for me. My wife also helps me whenever I need an extra hand and a good friend helped me with the top.
