1986 Custom Cruiser

I bought this 70K mile car for $400. It runs great, but the first owner had put a really lousy paint job on it, and the second owner had left it in the sun to bake for a few years. It also came with "county coroner" window tinting. It's since been stripped to bare metal, and is getting a respray in a factory-correct light blue metallic. The woodgrain will follow. Read more ยป

CC Strip at home...started with two gallons of zip strip and a putty knife.  Then, worked with a sander and grinder.  Yucky job.

Almost finished.  I just mounted all the fender badges, next the body shop will install the stainless belt trim.  Really falling in love with this car!
