Extremely short studs?
Extremely short studs?
Took my wheels off today to get a look at my new welds, the studs dont even make it out of the hub. Is replacing the studs pretty much required for aftermarket wheels?
It would be highly unlikely you would have to change studs to mount aftermarket wheels......
Most likely your aftermarket wheels you want to use will require a lug nut with a long shank that will go through the hub of the wheel to reach the studs.... You should be able to purchase correct lug nuts for the wheels you want to use from the same place you purchased your wheels or from most parts stores.... Advance, PepBoys, Rock Auto etc...

You could also measure the distance from the "lug seating surface" to the back face of the wheel and then reduce that measurement enough so that the lug will not hit the drum or rotor before the wheel is tight.........
