No more than $2500 if it runs. I had my 1970 VC listed at $5500 with new drivetrain and rust free body and got no takers. Anything under 2500 would be a decent deal. We dont have rust in Calif so it does look a little scary to me..

Again I stick by my oppinion on car sales-(was joking about the $50), it's worth what in this case the buyer is willing to pay and what the seller is willing to accept. There is hope there.

So whats the price???

The silicone around the roof windows tells me that there is serious pinchweld rust, common for these cars, unfortunately.

Did the VCs come in any color other than green or brown? I've been looking at them for at least 6 months and I swear they are all green or brown.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but I would say it has rust problems that will take some time and cash to repair.

The car looks a lot better than most Vista Cruisers you see around for sale.
The bottoms of the fenders are there and the quarters look intact, spare tire well is still there, tailgate okay?
It runs okay ?
Too bad it's green like 90% of them are.
Green cars are bad luck for some people and I'm one of them.
I seriously wouldn't take the car if it was mint and you gave it to me.

See a tailpipe on the passenger side, does it have duals or a chebby wagon tailpipe?
Two or three seater?
Nearly all get the roof and side window rust so you just have to see how bad it is, wait a long time to find one without any no matter where it came from.
I would check that out real good, take a trim tool and pop the trim off if you have to, could be really bad or just a few little holes.
The trim and clips wear the paint off and the water that sits in there gets under the paint and the rust starts, the water sitting in the crack between the trim and roof where the paint gets scraped and worn off.
Just nicking the paint off the welded trim retainer studs and making the clips too tight will do it, pop the trim on and it scrapes even more paint off if those clips are jammed in there too tight on the studs.

I would say around $1500-2k if it runs okay and the underbody is decent.
They don't go for a lot of money
Don't expect to get very good mileage though.
You can't buy many repo interior parts unless they're for the dash or common to other models too.

For what its worth I have not tried hard sell it but my 72 Flat top is in a good bit better shape than that one. I have posted it up for sale a few times at $2500.00 with no bites. It even has a set of ET wheels that would bring $500-600.00 alone pretty easy. That one would not even get me to go see it in person if it was not around $1000.00 or less.

I agree, my vista cruiser is straight, rust free new engine and trans with upgrades, nice wheels, am/fm 8 track, body source ram air hood, roof rack, third seat and not a call at 5500. People wont pay much for a vista unless it is really nice and then wont pay near what you have invested. I still like the cars.

@blue: Factory dual and not sure about the other things, have yet to see it in person yet, just getting an idea on what it is worth as far as a cruiser would go.
As far as running he said it runs fine except when he tried to start it last it wouldnt start and he thinks it might be the coil, and the lifter on the passenger side sticks as well. Will be eating dinner over at there house and take a look at it and will take pics for you guys if ya want. Like i said before he also hasa delta 88 that i might be looking at as well that just needs the carb rebuilt and brakes done. Will make a post tonight in the correct section and link it up for you guys
