I have a Muncie 4 speed, factory Hurst shifter, console, vehicle is a 68-442. I can not seem to get the reverse rod to line up (too long) I ordered the shortest one I could find from inline tube. I have even thought about trying to move the shift plate further back on the tail but I would have to do some modification to the plate. Any suggestions, I am starting to loose my mind!

 

Do you have a pic of the rod and lever mounted on the trans?
