If this were 1913, sure, but in 2013, we just buy new valves.

Are you asking about the valves themselves, or the valve GUIDES in the head?

 

I mean valve guides.

 

Most cases, yes.

 

You mean when a portion of the guide that protrudes above the level of the head is cracked?

Sure. Old guides / block material is reamed out, new guides are installed.

MAW get a complete valve job while you're at it.
