I paid 380 at rocket racing to freshen up a good set of 7A heads. I also paid about 800 to do a complete overhaul of my #6 heads big stainless steel valves, bigger springs, Everything but port work that's also milling of the head surface .024. I paid 120 to mill the intake . Total on my heads and intake with roller tip rockers, studs, and pushrods guide plates all in all it ran me around 1600 on my current set up. Many machine shops include pressure test in in the price wether you mention it or not since they cant risk taking your word for it.

I'd like to get all that done for about $300...

The provider of those services, however, feels somewhat differently about the matter. :-)

I was quoted 400 to rebuild my ka heads and 300 on top to lightly port and polish
And he told me if I wanted more than the light port and polish to go with aluminum heads that I would be money ahead

A job shop can get it done for a $300 for a standard valve job with new seals for a relatively stock engine.

I paid $750 several years ago to have my heads done, valve job with new stainless valves, springs (W31) and a three angle grind, no port or polish.
