Pushrod length!!!

This is an FYI for you guys building a small block, especially a roller engine, or a 65 with #2 heads.
All of us know that the BBO engines have 3 different pushrod lengths available, I did a quick check of what I had in my garage, and found 3 different Small block pushrod lengths, also.

Here goes...
Roller cam engines have a 7 11/16" (or so) length. Mine came from a DX engine. This is due to the longer .921 lifter.

64, 66-76 engines have a 8 1/4" pushrod length. I did not find a difference between the large, and small tip. You do need to run the correct rocker arm for the tip size of your pushrod, however. I would not want to mix these up either.

1965 engines have a 8 3/8" long pushrod, due to the slightly different valve gear, I imagine.

I did not have any 307 units to check.

If you have a mix of these parts, make sure to label them so you do not mix them up!!!
Jim

On the subject of pushrods, why do some sources show 8.234" pushrods for the SBO? And why are there two different part numbers at Supercars Unlimited for a 64 330 with rocker shaft (same p/n as 68-69 350) and 65-67 330 pedestal? I assume their third part number for the 67 4 bbl is the 39 degree engine.
