kickdown cable location

Does anyone have a picture of where the kickdown cable should pass through the firewall? I know it connects to the gas pedal, I just dont see any hole in the firewall.
Thanks bigbrother

Hi. Are you talking about the kickdown cable for the tranny, that connects to the carb linkage? If so, it doesn't go through the firewall, it goes to the tranny. Let us know. Jim.

What year and model are we talking about? The TH350 didn't come out until 1969, so earlier cars won't have the hole. The 69-72 A-body cars have a hole punched in the firewall just below the throttle cable hole. Non-TH350 cars have a small plug in the hole. Later cars route the cable to the carb, not the accelerator pedal and won't have or need a hole.

1970 W31 350 Rocket/TH400.
Actually, Jim, it does. On the 69-72 A-body cars the kickdown cable for the TH350 was routed through the firewall and connected to the accelerator. Go look at the firewall on your W31, just below the throttle cable.

Guys, I have a 69 cutty s. The kickdown goes through the firewall. I think someone did a fix it job on the hole and I need to get a good idea of where it is supposed to go. The other solution is attach to a new carb. I currently have the two bar and would like to change over to a 4 bar. Is there a specific mod for this or is it easy to do? If I can make it work with the 4bar, I would rather just do that. In that case, does anyone have a picture of how it would connect to the carb?

Thanks BB
