hello again !

i have a basically stock 350 rocket. 4brl, edlebrock performer intake man., .. my question is, what would be the right cam for the engine. i don't want to over cam it. i would love the performance and the good sound that a cam provides. i was thinking of this COMP one, am i right??? what series should i go with also??? thank you much -Lee

You won't notice very much idle "rumpity rump" with that one. But the more choppy the idle gets the less vacuum the engine will hold at idle. If you have power assist brakes, that is important. You could go with a cam with even a little more lift than that. There are so many choices out there and so many cam grinds that are so close to each other in specs. I would recommend that you look at Ultradyne cams too. They have a good reputation.

Dan's got it right. If want to wake up the potential of the Edelbrock and 4bbl set-up, you can use something as large as this: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...K&autoview=sku

When the lobe centerline is in the 112 and up range, you should still be able to utilize the power brakes

Sounds like you want to keep the vehicle somewhat stock- convertor, etc. If so, stay under .500 lift and you'll be good to go.

Important info.
also what rear end/gear.
If you are running a 74 smogger with #8s and a 2.41 gear you should probablyuse a different cam than say a 68 with #5's and a 3.73
