Header Installation on a 67 Cutlass

Hi Guys I'm new here and wanted to ask for some advice for my 67 Cutlass. I am fixing to install a pair of Hooker Super Comp headers, and wanted to know some things before I install them. I converted my old starter to a High Torque Mini (powermaster) since I thought it's be a clearance issue, but haven't attempter anything else. The car is driven daily and sees only highway. My question is will the installation require any modifications to anything else? Or do I just pull the exhaust manifolds right on and slap on the headers just like that? Will I have to unbolt engine mounts and pull the engine out for the clearance? Any help would be appreciated.

You'll likely need to remove the starter and the oil filter adapter. It helps a lot if you remove the steering shaft. The engine will almost certainly need to be raised. You may need to relocate the brake distribution block to the top of the frame rail. If the car is a column shift, you may or may not need to modify the shift linkage. If it's a stick, the clutch linkage will be fun to reinstall.

Ditto what Joe said.

If the brake lines are close, you may need to relocate.
Had a set of Hooker super comps rub a hole in a brake line on a 68 Cutlass S, I had 20+ years ago.
Make sure you have 1/2" (yes-1/2" or more) clearance on all tubes to lines.

They will have to go on from underneath, make sure you have good jackstands, and a 2 ton jack when you do the job.
