Well, that's sure not a Caddy motor - in the '70's it was 472 or 501.

Cadillac never made a 350ci engine. 1968-1976 were 472 or 500ci. 1977 started the 425ci and 1980 the 368ci. Olds 350ci were used in the Sevilles only. There was also an Olds 307 used in the 1986-1990 Brougham.

Yep as stated above if it is a 75-79 seville (or a 79 eldorado) it the Olds 350 gas... late 70's had the olds 350 diesel option.+

5 litre rear drive Caddies in the mid to late eighties had Olds 307's because the Caddy 4100 was such a piece of junk. The 500, 472 and 425 were great engines, not sure about the 368.

Yes 75-79 Sevilles were exclusively Olds 350 powered with gas or diesel. And they were fuel injected. And yes the 86-90 rear drive Caddys used the 307 with a quadrajet. One of the last carbuerated and quadrajet engines if not the last. Olds engines burned clean and could pass emissions with carbs. Think of the 77-79 403 Trans Ams and Formulas in California and high altitude locations.

Nothing like resurrecting a thread that's been dead nearly two years...

Just to avoid truth decay, and as noted above from 2011, the 75-79 Seville and the 79 Eldo used the port fuel injected 350 Olds motor.

And "eyes"? Those 75-79 Sevilles were built off the Nova platform. Good point on those 79 Eldorados. I forgot about them. But I guess if I had read the thread throughly enough I would have seen that. Sorry. I guess got excited about a lackluster topic.
