Can anyone tell me how to delete a post of mine? I accidentally posted a thread twice and want to delete one of them.

Members can edit their own posts. Just click on the blue bubble labeled 'Edit' in the lower right hand corner. You can make corrections, additions and soft deletes using that tool. Members cannot delete a complete thread to my knowledge, but any moderator can do that as you saw when Richard fixed you up.
