Avatar change, "invalid document"

I went to change my avatar using an Olds print that I scanned into my computer. I used the browse feature to try and download this image, but recieved an "Invalid document" message. The print that I wanted to use is in pdf format, is that the problem?

I think it needs to be a picture.

Take your pdf and do an ALT-PRINT SCREEN (screen capture), paste into Paint and then save as a jpg.
Size it as required and save as an avitar.

O.K., so I took a digital photo of the print, downloaded to "my pictures" on my computer. Used the browse button on "update avatar" found photo, clicked on it, hit "select" and then "save changes" at bottom of page to change the avatar. Got "upload failed" messsage. Grrr.

Check the size of the photo and that it is a .jpg file.

You probably need to reduce the size of the file.

You DO need to decrease the file and picture size - a lot.
You must have missed this little note on the upload page:

"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). "

Most photo editing software allow you to resize easily it is a little frustrating but can be done.
