No picture! But the POP is a small card like with VIN and original owner information, dealer number and miles on it when delivered.

You are probably talking about the cowl tag which is still good information also.

Hmmm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your 67 is not a 442 as it needs to have 5V on the cowl tag and not just 5 Y. Also in this case it cannot be a factory W30.

Post a picture of your cowl tag and people here can tell you what it says. You could also just write what your tag says but sometimes people get the numbers and letters wrong and it makes it harder to figure out. A pic is the best way to go.

cowl tag

it's on and guy is telling me because it doesn't have a v next to the five it's not a 442 or a w-30. look on newbie threads it's there. the car was a muscle car feb 2004 article with all the pics and I have all that and it hasn't been on the road in 14 years. it has the red plastic inner fenders and all the right oai stuff that I don't think could of been repopped 14 years ago. I was told it was a California car. battery in trunk. I have posted pics of car and engine

Trim tag, O9D means Oldsmobile built in the 9th month which would be September 1966. 67-33807 means a 67 Cutlass Supreme Sport Coupe or Post Coupe. G-2 is gold paint top and bottom. Car was built in Lansing...LAN 5Y is Deluxe seat belts.

Note the 67 W cars were built in Feb thru May of 67. All Lansing built cars used the 5V or 5VY to designate 442 trim. Clones have been built throughout time not just in recent years. When it comes to magazine cars and Oldsmobiles writers are clueless as to what is correct.

The rivet holding the trim tag that I can see in the pic is incorrect for this car. I would be very suspect of this car.

I saw that rivet also, and the correct ones can be bought on epay. Surely someone wouldnt change tags on a W30 just for a different color code? There are still W30 parts out there, could easily be a cloned Cutlass... bummer deal! I hope you can get this straightened out with the seller.

It is very hard to legitimize a real 67 W30. I notice too the oil fill tube is not 67 vintage and wonder what engine is in there. Lots of mystery on this car yet to see what it is/was...

Not sure what that is called but it does have info on it that should appear on trim tag. Either your seats are not original to the car or someone swapped the trim tag. The mystery has not been solved with this clue....

It might be more helpful if the photo wasn't so tiny and we could actually read what's on it.

That is an interior trim tag. I found one under the rear seat of my F-85 Deluxe.

Just wondering if these older type tags are actually considered the broadcast cards.

Also, wanted to share what I found regarding the seats possibly not being original (as previously mentioned.) In this link below, they talk about how sometimes at the factory that sometimes the car got the wrong tag because there were a bunch of seats all the same waiting to be put in. The worker just grabbed whatever was most convenient. Read here: http://chevynova.org/BroadcastSheets.html (Chevy, but still the same would apply I would think.)
