2016 MCACN "Day2 Invitational" Showcase
2016 MCACN "Day2 Invitational" Showcase
I am very pleased and excited to be asked to assist in assembling the 2016 MCACN "Day2 Invitational" Showcase.
This is a unique showcase featuring these special cars that are either authentic significant cars before they were "Day 2'd" in Original Unrestored condition or Restored to "Day2" condition. This will include both Dealer Supercars from Nickey, Mr. Norm’s and Yenko etc. and period correct owner personalized cars from “back in the day.”
Anyone interested in entering this Special Showcase please contact me.....abodymuscle@aol.com
We already have a roster of cars entered. I will post the owners names and the cars shortly.
Note*
Concours Day 2 Judged Vehicles: Vehicles are judged on a 1,000 point scale with no deductions taken for period correct accessories and modifications, including era correct drive-train and wheel and/or tire swaps. Note; deviations from stock must be deemed “period correct.” This is not a class for clones or tributes. VIN must match car being presented. The modifications you will see on these cars are authentic to the day, within two years of the production year of the car with owner modified cars that were done "back in the day" using all period correct parts and modifications.

You can't wait until the last minute to register for this event. There are numerous vehicles / displays already signed up and committed to the show. The show is usually filled months prior with a long waiting list.

My understanding is Dan is gathering DAY-2 cars, either modified by the dealer back in the day, or by the owner back in the day or modified by the owner recently with vintage DAY-2 parts.
Correct me if I am wrong:-)

We appreciate your participation, as you have a gorgeous 442.
As stated earlier in another post, we indeed sell out well in advance and your entry was received in late August when were were darn near completely full/sold out. Your car was originally a regular entry, not one of the invited special display cars, but when I reviewed the pics and saw it is indeed a real W-30, I added it to the Class of '70 Invitational area, as it would have been in one of the back halls otherwise.
Point for everyone is....please enter promptly, as I assign spots as we receive the official entries, and in most cases, all of the special displays and most of the show is full well in advance.
Thanks;
