Welcome to our site!

By the mid 1950's the model numbers were "88" or "98". The first digit indicated the body size, the "80" series were smaller than the "90" series. The second digit indicated a V8 engine which was the standard engine in use by the 1950's. So the 88 car was samller than the 98 car, there were no 94 cars as Oldsmobile never used a four cylinder engine in the 1950's to my knowledge and surely even if they did have one it would not be put in the largest body style built at the time.

YoYo, I am going to put a picture of your car on another website that I frequent, they are more into customs, hot-rods and low-riders limited to any car not newer than 1965. Some of those guys can really recognize body styles and many are old enough to remember fifties era cars as they were young men then. The place is Jalopyjournal and the forum is called Hokey Assed Message Board (HAMB for short). You might check them out.

thank's

now I think I've a bad "grey card" for my car

all the differents response confirm that (road light, chrome accesories, etc etc)

I try to change it bud i don't know if i can a day drive my car on an open road ... (i'm doing some acceleration race too)

if someone have some paper of an 1955 olds and want to sell it I propose his to buy it....

thank's for all and see you later for the presentation of my car in section ninety-height.... whit a lot of news photo

If you want a picture of my 55 i can give you that, it is not in good condition, and it is an 88, but the only noticeable difference is that the 98 has a longer trunk, if you wan't me to send you theese i would be happy to.
