1970-72 Frames and Frame Portions

I've found a roundy round racer offering $150-200 each for 1968-72 frames, actually he only needs the front third or so. I've got one 2 door and two 4 door frames that I'm considering selling the front portions to him. I know these will be scrap metal after a few races, so I'm a little hesitant but there's not much of a local market for them. So if anybody is interested let me know, I'm located in Southwestern Oregon along Interstate 5, maybe 30 miles from the California border. Attached are pictures from a really nice 4 door frame, the body mount holes are perfect. I've already sold the drivers side rear spring mount to Ted (sammy) so I don't mind cutting up the rest of the frame if there's a portion you need. Let me know if you want closeup photos of anything specific. John

Wow! That frame looks to be in super nice shape - hardly any rust at all considering how old it is. Too bad Ted didn't take the whole thing.

It is the nicest frame I've come across... but its from a 1971 Cutlass 4 door. So I'm hoping members here can use portions of it, especially the guys from the rust belt.

I have a frame that nice from a 70 Vista but can't find anyone needing it. I just can't bring myself to cut it up but may end up having to.

If you have room to store it someday someone will be deeply grateful for a sound Vista Cruiser frame! Few people are fixing up 4 door cars, but Vista Cruisers are in pretty good demand. It does seem like you should be able to market it now. Have you tried ebay? I know I have a love/hate relationship with ebay... but it does have the largest audience for selling stuff.

Wow. I'm surprised by that! If you can store it eventually someone will come along and see it as treasure. If storage becomes a problem I know you could sell it to a circle track racer. But we know that it would eventually be munched and scrapped, which would be a shame. I know we've talked about what it would take to modify this to fit a convertible before. It seems to me like someone with a rotten convertible frame would be interested in that considering what a solid convertible frame goes for. Shoot! I could provide a nice tail portion from one of these frames to change the section behind the axle. If all else fails create a thread with that suggestion!
