Parting 70 cutlass supreme
im parting this out. the engine and trans are in there own ads. im keeping some of the parts such as the gauges, column, steering wheel. inner fenders, and some of the chrome trim (not the trim around the vinyl top), windshield, 4 speed parts, mirrors, and possibly the fenders. so far im also keeping the rear end. inquire about the other parts i have to get rid of the car asap. i wanted to get all the parts that i wanted off first but time is running out. im still looking to see what other parts im taking. let me know what you want and make me an offer on it. ill let you know what other parts im keeping as i find out what i need.
the parts are located in Altamont NY.
thanks

Was this a factory 4 speed car? I'm not used to seeing Cutlass Supreme body styles with 4 speeds. If it is factory you might want to look a little closer at the scarcity and value before parting it out. John

Since you're keeping the inner fenders, are you keeping the sheet metal bolts with the large washers that screws into the frame? If not, are you willing to sell them? I do believe there's 4 bolts. 2 on each side. Thanks.

it is an original 4 speed but the body is in really rough shape, its a lot worse than it looks in the pics, and the frame is rotted.

Well... I know I'm on the opposite coast. Hardtop frames are still easy to come by here. Some body panels are easy to find, others maybe not so much. I'm the eternal optimist... something unusual always catches my attention! But you've got it in the driveway. I am curious now... Anybody know how common this option was? I know there's a member here tracking SX models. He may be interested in the details on your car. John

Scarcity? I don't have the numbers for the number of 4 speeds out of 68,309 1970 Supreme hardtops, but per an October 1982 letter from Oldsmobile Consumer Service, out of 11,354 Cutlass Supreme ragtops, only 71 had M21 4 speeds. It appears that there were some M20 cars too, but most of the '70 350/4 speed ragtops that I know of so far are M21 cars. (Just noticed that one of my source books shows only 4,867 '70 Supreme convertibles built. Hmmm.) Actually, off the top of my head, all of the '70 4 speed Supremes that I know of so far are convertibles. There aren't many hardtops.

I track these things obsessively and would be shocked if there was another one and I missed it....
To the OP, sorry for swinging the thread off course a little. It's a free bump to the top though.

I am interested in the non air heater box, inside and controls and engine compartment cover as well as the kick panels with the vents. I want to convert a gutted drag car to a street car.

I'm interested in the M21 four-speed for my 70 supreme. specifically a M21 2.20:1 ratio 10-spline 1-inch shaft - 1 groove - 27-spline output shaft. how many miles on the tranny and do you have the shifter assembly too?
#33
this car didnt come with a muncie when i got. it had a saginaw 4 speed that appears to be rebuilt. it also came with an itm shifter that is missing the reverse link. the trans is VERY clean and i believe it has been rebuilt.

the wipers are sold.
dave i believe i do have a nice washer bottle. i will check
also im also selling some of the parts i wanted to hold onto, the rally pac gauge, and the steering wheel.
i still have the mirrors to if anyone is interested.
also the drip rail moldings off this car are in perfect shape as far as i can tell. i did have someone interested but i haven't heard back from them.
the car is totally stripped, the body and frame left today. they were in even worse condition than i had thought. im surprised it made it home on the trailer.
