I am interested in your steel backed woodgrain instrument panel overlays. I'm assuming from your picture it is just the woodgrain and not the bezel itself. Correct? What is the chrome piece for in your picture?

That's correct, I do not have a bezel (they are available as reproduction). I did not take a picture of the two dash pieces. These are for a '70 (burl woodgrain), The shiny piece is the convertible pillar molding.

My only concern about the woodgrain overlays is that I've heard there are differences with aftermarket bezels depending on whether it was made in China, Indonesia or whereever. I bought a new bezel from The Parts Place in Elburn, Illinois. They tell me they have it made for them. Ever had any experienc with this? I can't imagine the openings are that far off but with metal backing, they might not fit what I have. Your thoughts?

Bobac, you are correct to be concerned about that issue. I ran into a minor fit issue with my dash overlay. By using a Dremel with a grinding stone in it I was able to take a tiny bit (maybe .02?) off the end without damaging the woodgrain. I was concerned that the instrument overlay would be the same but it fit with no issue. I figured if the instrument holes were a tiny bit too small in the overlay I could enlarge it with the Dremel if necessary. I don't remember where I got my repro bezel, though.

I'll take 'em. If they are good quality, $70 is fair. I am already a registered Paypall user but don't know how this works outside of e-Bay.

Last chance for the kick panels/skirts

They're going in the trash next week, apparently nobody wants 'em. $30 shipped anybody? That's like about $12 for all 6 pieces plus shipping.

Now sold, thanks!

The stainless trim behind the wheels, is that the piece that runs down underneath the doors? Do you have both sides?

Just the one piece. This is strip of chrome that runs from the front side marker light to the back one, 6 inches or so above the bottom of the door.
