Thanks Paul - Yes, if I added up the actual time taken to perform all the steps the prices would be crazy. Add in the new parts, some part of shipping cost to get the new parts, etc and the prices would be crazy.
These are extras that I had and restored and won't need. I really only need one set of "extras" of any given part just in case another Olds comes along sometime in the future. It would be nice to have a house full of restored "extra" extra parts BUT I do occasionally like to walk around inside while being able to see the floor.....or know WHERE IN THE HELL any given part is.
Trying to lay my hands on a pair of chrome trumpet tips I picked up at the OCA Nats this summer and they are hiding from me now.....that, or some hotel employee has them at THEIR house as a pencil holder or flower holder (I may have left them in the room when we left for the return trip).
Sometimes "too much" is just......too much.
UGGGH!!!
