Hi all - I'm from France and I'm looking for Olds parts ....

The car : 1961 Oldsmobile 98 convertible.

I need first a steering knuckle.

Suggestions and help appreciated!!

 

In my ignorance, I'm not sure what a steering "knuckle" is. Rockauto.com shows something called a "steering coupling assembly" that "connects the steering column to the steering box" for a '61 98.

I see what you mean. Is that scan yours? Unfortunately, the part number can't be read. Is there a better quality version of it?

My guess is that, in the end, you won't find this part made new. Your only source will be an NOS piece found on ebay or something like that, or a used piece taken from a parts car.

I've had very good luck getting from him what I thought would be hard to find parts.

 

Steering knuckle is the correct term even used in the CSMs. We call it a 'spindle'.
