I'm Ken am the proud owner of a 71 Cutlass Supreme conv. with a 455 and air. The guy I bought it from did the body work, but left a few vacumn lines off. I need a diagram, so I can get the air flow working correctly.
Ken ,welcome to the site.I Am unable to help you with the vacuum line routings ,but I am sure you will get an answer. We have many Cutlass owners on Classic Olds that are full of knowledge and willing to share. Best of luck . Larry
Ken, welcome to the site. I would suggest you look for a Chassis Service Manual for the vacuum line information as it will be found there. Someone here may have some specific information to assist you for your car/model but the manual would be a good resource to have. Someone may have a copy for sale on here or check Ebay for one. Good luck with your car.
As the others have said, you need to buy, at the very least, ORIGINAL copies of the Chassis Service Manual and the Fisher Body Manual, and possibly a copy of the Assembly Manual (actual originals of this are not available).
You can get these on eBay pretty much any time (if you watch, you can get a decent deal).
You can also join the Automotive History Preservation Society for about $25 a year, which will allow you to download scans of all of these and much more, though you should STILL have originals as well.
All of that being said, since you're a new member, here:
Thanks for the info. I picked up a 71 Mitchell, but it doesn't include the vacumn layout. I just put her on the road and hope to use her a lot this summer.
Ken, not a Mitchell. Listen to Eric (he's almost always right) you want the Oldsmobile Chassis Service manual and the Fisher Body Service manual, and probably the assembly manual:
