Introduction - Back in the Day
Hi all, my name is Randy, and I wanted to introduce myself (even though I was bad and made a post or two already...... ). I have been a GM lover since I was a kid, never owned anything else until I got old and started driving a Lexus. I just purchased a '66 Black on Black 442 and am ready to start enjoying the ride again. I owned a new 66 Tripower back in the day, and what a wonderful machine it was. I grew up in Northern Cali in a town of about 90,000, and would race all comers. Don't remember ever losing (on purpose anyway). It was just one of those cars that had everything put together perfectly (not by me, by Fremont). I think I still have some pics of that car somewhere, and will post when I get a chance. May even have a pic or two of racing it at Sears Point (before it was called Sonoma Raceway), trophied once apon a time. My goal with this car is to slowly get it back toward at least having the right year running gear in it. Someone along the way put in a built 425, Super T-10, and an open highway rear end. I know I'll need a lot of help, and have a bunch of questions of the experts out there. Wish me luck!
