remove door panel

remove door panel

i have tried to remove the inside door panel from my 84 hurst olds to put new window rubbers on i am having trouble finding out how to get the covers off door handle without bending them is there an easy way to do this without destroying them thanks for any help

To remove your door handle you'll need this handy tool. Cost is under $10 at your local auto parts store.

sorry don not the door handle i ment the strap that you hold on to to close the door with hope you get the attach picture i sent with this message to show you what i mean

Yeah, I've been to that movie before on the 77-90 B-body cars. You need to figure out how to remove that cap so you can access the screw under it. Unfortunately, each one of these has a different trick and I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this one. In addition, the plastic gets brittle over the years and breaks easily if pressure is applied incorrectly. I just this weekend learned the trick to removing the end caps on the pull straps on my 84 Custom Cruiser.
