Looking at pic of front cover and see what you mean about the seal position, I don't like it but let's see what others have to say. Makes me wonder if the seal mounting hole location is also off...

I cannot seem to find a suitable nichrome wire. There are wires available, but they are uninsulated. Do you think I could just put a 10 ohm resistor in the wire? I'm thinking I could just solder...
