I may be asking a foolish question ,but on a holiday coupe could it be that you need to adjust the rear window to stop further forward. Seems to me that the front window should run snugly in the felt at the front of the door glass , and any adjustment made to move it backward would bring it away from the front channel. Just my thoughts, I may be wrong ,if so ,I am sure someone will say so. Good luck ,Larry

The door window MUST be fully forward in the channel of the vent window frame. If you move it backward, you'll get a gap at the forward end. Adjust the REAR quarter window.

Also, start by reading the window adjustment info in the 1965 body service manual.

 

Thanks Joe - I'll try to adjust the rear window to bring that forward a bit. I did read the SM, it always speaks to cocked windows, or windows that need to be moved in and out, I don't see it mention forward and backward.
