The only direct replacement will be a 1969-1972 A-body column. That's Cutlass, Chevelle, LeMans, or Skylark. I've been told (but not personally tried it) that the 1973-77 columns interchange, but the tab for the transmission linkage is shaped differently. The later columns won't work easily.

Unfortunately, supply and demand is at work here. The correct A-body columns wouldn't cost so much if there was an easy alternative.

I've got extras and suspect there's a few other guys with spares avaiable. Are you looking for a column shift, floor shift, tilt, etc.? I suggest you post a parts wanted thread and include your location or the nearest big city. Who knows, there may be one withing driving distance! John
