I have found the problem with the hood hinges and there was a crack in one of the little holes on the bracket that attatches to the hood. The hole where the top piece which holds the spring is. I had it tack welded as good as possible but I noticed that the whole hinge itself is slightly twisted and does not line up with the other. I was having problems keeping the hood staying up and it was probably because this cracked and failed. Does anyone know if there is anyone who may have a set for sale. I have checked a few of the Olds sites but they are not carried by anyone i have tried so far. I will keep checking salvage yards , no luck so far.

 

there's a 69 88 in the local yard. Do you think they are the same?
interchange manual anyone?
