Trunk Light

Anyone have a picture of the original location of the trunk light 71 442?
Just got an original and don't know where the thing goes. I know on the left as the wire is there but....thanks!

I think there were two types in early 70s- a round one that mounted to the trunk lid, and a different type that attached to the LH trunk hinge box. That one was activated by a lever that followed the hinge as the decklid raised.

The underside of the decklid should have some dimples in it somewhere to mount the round one. The wire goes into a hole near the lamp and routes down inside the inner structure. It comes out near the LH hinge and plugs into the existing wire.

Which do you have?

Great picture Rob but I got the round one. Spoke with the fellow at Power Steering you mentioned. Told him got his name from you. Very informative and fair prices. However at this time I have turned the wheel lock to lock for many many times to bleed it. And it worked. Even some older guys aorund here talked about it. So..20 minutes sitting in the garage turning back and forth....
