Cutlassfi Mahle coated 400 E pistons

I received my Christmas present yesterday. A word I normally save for Women and children, "beautiful" looking pistons! These are for a 400 E engine. My whole life I always bought heavy

Speed Pro/Clevite pistons. What a difference in these Mahle pistons. Thanks Mark for time/effort to get a quality option for the Oldsmobile fans.

Nice, great weight for a shelf piston using stock rod length.

Yes, I'm more than just happy with the quality/weight. Even though my plans are street pump gas engine that will never see over 5200 rpms, I was considering a set of Rocket Racing connecting rods. After seeing the pistons I'm going with resized stock rods. I've had a package of new ARP rod bolts for a few years that I got off the bargain table at Summit. Maybe I'll have them shot-peen'd, probably overkill.
