Water Pump Pulley

Need help finding a water pump pulley for my 1972 Cutlass w/350 no A/C. Original water pump was replaced by PO & they put on a rather ugly silver coloured 3 groove pulley to make it work but I think it is for chevy as the alt & p/s belts are off at an angle. I am rebuilding the engine & the pump needs to be replaced again but there are only 2 listed for this car. the pic shows the pump listed for a cutlass with no a/c. The second groove lines up fine for the p/s pump. The leading edge is 3 3/4" from the mounting surface of the pump. In order to get the alternator belt on I need to find a pulley that has the third groove (edge being about 3 1/4" from the pump mounting surface), a 2 groove pulley that has a longer front peice, or a shorter water pump. The 2 groove pulley I have has "KN" stamped on it, not sure if this is helpfull.

Anyone with a 72' no a/c know of where to get the correct pump from? Napa, AutoValue, etc. &/or possibly a part number so it is the correct length?

NAPA would be a good bet
Normally Rock Auto comes to mind but they have bullshed information on water pumps, DO NOT know what they are talking about there.

Looks like this happens a lot

"It was the wrong length and the pulleys then were offset. Just bought it last week for $70 need to sell have no use for."

This one might be the 5.1" - ask the seller

Here's another seller that can't be bothered to cite the single most crucial measurement of the pump:

HERE YOU GO !!!

DIRT CHEAP TOO

I would suggest to buy from a local parts store if you are not worried about numbers matching. You can measure the pump before you even pay for it to make sure it is correct.
If you want a factory correct unit, then you need a 408238 pump. I think I have a couple that I have bought thinking this was the pump that I needed, but decided it was not. They would have to be rebuilt.
