I am currently retoring a 68 cutlass supreme convertible and need a trunk lid. Any ideas as to where I might find one. I have found some glass reproductions but would really like steel. Any help is appreciated.

If it is a 68 it is an "S" convertible. They did not have a Supreme convertible in 68. A trunk lid off of a 4-door Cutlass will also work with the "S" convertible.

BTW, where did you find a fiberglass trunk lid for a 68 Cutlass convertible?

 

It is a "S" convertible, I miss spoke. I found the glass lid at showcars-bodyparts.com, they had both pin on and bolt on. I have not been able to find a steel one as of now, but will be looking. I was hoping a 67 or 69 lid would fit.

If you are looking for a metal repro, they do not exist. Good used is your only option. As noted, all four door trunklids are the same as convertible trunklids for 1968.

I have seen a '69 lid on a '68 convert...had the corners filled in and you couldn't tell from outside...
