I just installed the electronic trunk release in my 1972 CS convertible and was wondering if there is any way to adjust the tension rods so it opens slower. Right now it opens quickly and at the end seems to be putting a lot of stress on the hinges. Thanks

 

There are three (I think) notches for the rods. I have never messed with it but I suppose the different positions equate to different amounts of tension on the rods. Check which location the rods are currently in.
