Why and where are threads moved from the General posts

 

People post threads in the General Forum that need to be in the specific subforums. Based on subject matter threads are moved to the forums that best represent the discussion.

I thought the General section was for general items. I understand a specific item being moved, but a general item can end up in any category, it's the movers choice! At least when the item is moved the mover could give a hint as to where it is so that the poster can keep up with his post and not feel like he had committed a mortal sin.

 

If you click on your user name and bring up your profile, then click statistics, then click on Find all threads started by "your user name" you can see all the threads you started and where they are.

 

I don't remember that and I just read it. What's wrong with the mover just typing
" moved to________ ".

 

It should show the thread where it was, locked, and show where it’s been moved to. Its in the site software. I use SMF and you can enable the move info to show
