Tariffs on Edelbrock Aluminum heads US to Canada

Not sure how the CUSMA compliance affects cylinder heads from Edelbrock coming to Canada.
Edelbrock tells me "we do not have products that are CUSMA compliant."

Does that mean tariffs or no tariffs ?
Anyone with an answer feel free to respond.

The new tariffs are not supposed to affect cars or parts.

Those heads should be CUSMA compliant.

Why do you think that? Aluminum is a carve out. not only will they cost more but converting to CAD and shipping and brokerage will make these heads cost a fortune.

Yes the auto sector is under attack, so is aluminum, lumber, copper, steel etc....these are all carve outs and not part of CUSMA.

If they say they're not CUSMA compliant that means tariffs do apply.

If you're actually interested in purchasing the heads, why not get a price from a Canadian importer and compare it to the American price? Then you can decide how far you want to let them pull down your pants or whether you should just stick with your C heads.

The heads would get the tariff when edelbrock imports the raw alluminum, so buying in Canada is moot. But the heads would likely be subject to a tariff on the Canadian side also due to the current state of affairs.

What I'm saying is, if the price in Canada all in seems reasonable compared to the US price, buy them. If not ...

I think financially the Edelbrock heads are a stretch for now.
Thanks for the info.

It is all confusing as hell and constantly changing. I have a set of the new SB heads half paid for, waiting for Edelbrock to get them done. It will depend on what the government of Canada tariffs them, not the US government. That mess is for them to deal with. I put extra money aside to hopefully cover this madness.
