Starter identification

Thank you I wasn’t sure if it could have been 1979 . If I read it correctly the last two numbers would be 4th week 6th day ? I can’t really make out the part number either.

The part # would tell you the ap/year. Looking at it, the support bracket hole seems to be in the Olds location. The solenoid screws look original. There may be a # on the solenoid if it's unmolested that would have a date, too.

I zoomed in on the Part # and came up with: 1108336 9L 46
Performing some modest Internet sleuthing I arrived with a number of starters manufactured by DELCO-REMY U.S.A. (which I believe is what is stamped under the Part #) which all fall w/in a time frame between ~1968-1970.
The Part # may, in fact, be a valid part number as I was able to locate a DELCO-REMY starter of the same number (Obsolete)

1108386 Olds 350 low torque starter. Not a 1108336 for sure. That would be an industrial starter with a cast iron drive end housing that spins counter clockwise. I think you can safely say this is an 1108386 1970 olds 350 starter, dated 4th of Nov 1969.
