Speedometer/Clock?Needles?

Hey guys from Dallas,TX.I have a 69 Cutlass S and I was wondering how common it is to be missing the needles in the speedometer and clock? Both of my face plates are in great condition and look really nice minus the missing needle! I am hoping and praying that all I have to do is get the needles replaced or even get a new cable for the speedometer to work!Fingers crossed! I will find that out next weekend when they are removed!I am trying to get ahead and wanted to know of anybody who is really good at restoring these?

Thanks for your help!

X2 on what stan said. Clock wasn't purchased as an option in your car.

Just to clarify, that is a blank that was used when the clock wasn't ordered. On the speedo I have no idea. If it fell off you'd imagine that it would be lying at the bottom of the gauge. When you drive do you see the odemeter turning? I'd call a gauge guy in hemmings & see if they can offer any insight.

Thanks for explaining that never even came to mind about the clock.Your right its very strange that if the needle was ever on and fell off that it should be on the bottom of the guage. The odemeter works. Thanks for the help.

Yes I know Rick, he lives about a mile from me. He has not owned MuscleCars of Oklahoma located on west Reno for quite some time now.
