shifter from ?

shifter from ?

is this shifter correct for a 1970 Olds ? It seems too short and it says Hurst in small letters. I've seen pics of a supposedly correct shifter which instead had a large H on it.

You are correct. That shifter is not.

Not sure, but I think that may be aftermarket. I don't know if any other OEM used the blade (vs round) handled shifters like that.

If your able to find a part number,I'll search my guide to vintage Hurst shifters and see if I can come up with anything.

Looks to be a shifter from a console car due to the offset. You may have the original shifter mechanicals on the tranny, but remember that the arms can be interchanged.
