Pretty insane. But like they say - there's a seat for every butt.

I have one on my 78 Suburban and I did pay less for it. Looks like need to pull it off and put it on EBAY for $850

OR he may be the one sitting on it for a very long time!

What is this part for? Is it for the speedo cable?

Yes. Where it connects to the trans.

AFAIK, if a car had a really steep rearend, it was used because there wasn't a corresponding trans speedo-drive gear for that rear end & the reducer kept the speedo cable speed correct.

LOL, I've still got one off a T10 that I paid a total of $100 for.
Btw, I don't see the key that engages the driven gear. Maybe that's on another auction for $200.

Did you see his M21 trans for $3200?
He must be trying to stock up on crack.

Just curious if the Canadian exchange rate is really bad or if this guy never sells anything.

And once again, why is ASKING price in any way related to value or reality?

its not. It's simply there to constantly assess the IQ of the gene pool searching the web. If that part had been offered for 5.00 plus shipping it wouldn't have gotten nearly the exposure it has now because that would simply be considered 'normal' or a good deal.

On the flip side, there ALWAYS needs to be an asking price to set any sale in motion. And of course if it appears to be insane, it probably tells you something about the sellers gene pool?

On the other hand, I have absolutely NO problem separating idiots from their cash...

And that is exactly why this type of auction hits the block. I think we just went full circle on this?

I just gotta wonder if this guy really thinks this stuff is that valuable. Sort of like the guy here a couple weeks ago with the $15k 84 Cutlass with the "350". Or a new post here for 79, asking $10k. Too many people watching Mecum and Barret Jackson?

"1969 Reducer Muncie Camaro Corvette Chevelle Cutlass GTO Olds Impala Judge"

"A used reducer 6476735.
Caption used for search purposes only. Buyer to determine if item is suitable prior to close of auction. All NOS and used items sold AS IS. Shipped UPS, approx 80lbs . "

Well, There ya go
he's got to build a 79.8 lb crate to ship it in.
Easily worth the $100.

How about the $125 *screw* or Wittek hose clamp?
and no it's not NOS

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Alterna...item2c81b2ce30

I believe the seller is extremely high, but perhaps a wealthy individual needs such things right away.

re: that bell housing "M" bolt in Ont, Canada for 250.00? Just another example that genetic inbreeding and price gouging can happen anywhere... Shopping the world of eBay is like looking at some of the 'People of Walmart' funnies.

Maybe he was just trolling to see if anyone was 'nuts' enough for his bolt? After all used OEM parts are worth more than new after market everyday, right????
