Rochester Q jet casting code

So I had a Rochester Qaudra Jet built for me a few years ago. Recently I had to have it rebuilt, long story, only to find out that the casting code is for a 73/74 carb !!!! So I'm asking my fellow Qaudra jet owners what would be the correct casting numbers and build code for a 1972 Cutlass Supreme built Aug 1971. it is a 350 V8 dual exhaust mounted to a TH350 3 speed floor shift automatic trans. Car is optioned with A/C, power brakes and steering. The casting numbers on the one that is mounted right now is #7043250 RA1204

Thanks in advance for the help ! ragtopblu !

7041250 would be a 1971 carb, but I doubt you would notice any difference in performance or driveability from the one you currently have (assuming it is rebuilt correctly and operating as it should). You can install the same primary jets/rods and secondary rods/hanger used on the 71 carb into your 73 carb.

Smile Re: Carb

Fun71,
Thanks for the numbers ! Since I have a #s matching engine and I participate in OCA and AACA judging I'd like to have a date correct casting for those real discriminating judges ! Since it is a 72 model but was built in 71, I could get away with a 71 and even a 69 Code since they would pull from existing inventory. Thanks for the Numbers, that gives me a good starting point ! I will be sending my carb down to Jeff at Old Carb Doctor will be doing a professional 6 week rebuild on it.

Thanks my friend !

Sorry, I glossed over the part about it being a 1972 car, so it probably would have a 7042250 carb.

I remember back in 1977 my Dad bought a 1970 CS from the original owner and it had a 7041250 carb on it. I don't know if it was a warranty replacement or how it got on there. The car was a February build.
