Radio delete on 84 hurst

As some of you might know, I am aspiring to obtain one of ever hurst olds made. I have come across an 84 which might be a rare car, but not sure . The car has approximately 80 k and was ordered radio delete with a window sticker that shows this . I know earlier years had this , but did not think later years did. Any opinions on this . Thx

For 1984 the Radio Delete code is UL5... However, according to the 84 CSM the option was not available for G-Body... The window sticker is not always the best proof of factory options, the build sheet or SPID is more factual from the factory...

I dunno if they were Husrt Olds or not, but I installed stereos in a few Cutlass of that period that came from the factory with radio delete. Rare or not, nothing was sacred in the '80s.

Check on the under side of the trunk lid for the SPID (Service Parts Identification) label... The build sheet can be under a front seat or the back seat... If you can provide a pic of the SPID, it will most accurately assure you of the radio delete option...

Rare but more of an oddity rather than adding a heck of a lot of value IMO. Surprised there isn't a nice Alpine head unit cut into it.

Agreed, no real added value , but is something you do not see a lot of in unmolested condition . I am still baffled why someone would order this way .

That is correct... If factory installed/deleted, UL5 should appear on the SPID... If the dealer deleted the radio and added an earlier face plate trim such as PN 562067, the window sticker could have been modified to show a radio delete feature/option...

None of this is odd or rare per say. Back in late summer of 88 a local Buick dealer to me had 8 New grand nationals,( yes you could still buy a new "87" GN in late summer of 88, I won't get into those details on this thread) All of them were strippers. No radios/PW/PL/PA/ No climate control/ Etc. Nothing. Which is super rare/Odd for a GN if you know anything about them.
It happened. BTW the dealer sold them all for 8K over sticker.
